Atoma targets Fintech market

The Core Banking Group has been acquired by Alphawood Holdings Limited, the investment vehicle of a high net worth family with an established portfolio of businesses within the technology sector. It has been re-branded as Atoma Technologies.

Alphawood is also making a substantial investment in the business which it sees as an important step for the firm into the fintech market.

Andrew Ruffell has been named as Atoma’s Chief Commercial Officer and will lead the global expansion of the company’s sales, marketing and partnerships, whilst Alphawood’s Chris Li takes on the Chief Executive Officer role.

“We have embarked on an aggressive plan to expand our operations globally and to further extend our range of ground breaking technologies which support clients who increasingly want to go live faster and upgrade more frequently” said Ruffell.

He said Atoma was already exploiting the benefits of Robotic Process Application (RPA) technology and would introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to transform the way banks update and maintain their core banking software. Clients using Atoma software are typically seeing a 90% reduction in the manpower normally needed to deploy, test and release new updates to their core banking solution and equally impressive improvements in both defect detection and time-to-market.

“By automating the entire go-live process, we are enabling and accelerating banks’ ability to rapidly deploy and run the very latest software advances on demand,“ he added.

Atoma this week announced the release of two uniquely powerful software suites which automate the application life-cycle of the market-leading Temenos core banking software.

Atoma’s TestIntelligence Suite and ReleaseIntelligence Suite have been designed to cover the full change, test and release life-cycle and are available for use with Temenos straight out of the box.

TestIntelligence Suite fully automates all types of testing from script writing, through to functional, regression and load testing.

ReleaseIntelligence Suite is a powerful platform for managing change, deploying releases, monitoring environments and incident intervention.

Headquartered in the UK, Atoma has operations in Hungary and India with a client base which currently spans Europe, Middle East & Africa, North America, Latin America, Caribbean and Asia.
